Training Schedules for Mentoring Programs

Before your program can receive final approval to start redeeming vouchers and serving children, you must participate in two training sessions. Listed below are the upcoming dates for these two training sessions. All programs participating in these trainings MUST be an approved Caregiver's Choice program.

We encourage you to participate in these training sessions as soon as possible so that you can start receiving referrals of interested caregivers and children. We will register you for the training session, and send you the materials and call-in instructions in advance.

Please note: All training dates are subject to change, in the event a training is rescheduled you will be contacted via email.

Working with Children of Prisoners (2.5 hours):

This session will provide you with guidance on understanding this unique population. This training will help ensure that mentoring programs understand the key skills needed to serve children of prisoners, and the special challenges and opportunities associated with serving this population. Most sessions are offered by conference call, with additional training opportunities by webinar or in-person in certain geographic areas. Using MentorPRO® Basic (1.5 hours):

This session will orient you to MentorPRO® Basic, an online tracking and evaluation tool created specially for Caregiver's Choice to manage and track voucher-supported mentoring relationships. You will learn how to add a Caregiver’s Choice child to your mentoring program, and how to track key elements of the mentoring relationship (such as mentor screening, match meetings, and match support). These sessions are all offered through a "live meeting" (conference call plus webinar).
